Harnessing the true potential of the technology, V2X communication is revolutionizing the automotive industry. There is a broad range of uses cases involving vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P), vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2P) and vehicle-to-network (V2N) communication. However, since the communication involves heavy exchange of data between multiple entities at extremely high speeds, ensuring robust performance and reliability becomes crucial.

From the deployment perspective, none of the two technologies have been mandated. Hence, many chipset and module makers are adopting a multi-technology, multi-mode approach, supporting both DSRC and C-V2X; LTE, 5G NR for network-based communication, making it important to verify all modes of communication.  From the test perspective, it becomes critical to verify the transmit and receive performance, to ensure better power control and robustness of the data shared over distances as large as a kilometer and received with the least amount of latency and error rate.
